What are everyoneā€™s favourite cereals in RRAYENNBOW? And you can include Qrow and mercury if you want to
And I SHALL include them
Ruby: Special K. She doesnā€™t actually have that much of a sweet tooth, and sheā€™s gotta stay fit. Plus it has strawberries and turns the milk pink
Weiss: Doesnā€™t really eat cereal (coffee or death) but if she has to choose, probably Chex. She just thinks theyā€™re neat
Blake: Gonna go with Honey Bunches of Oats. First of all, bees. Second of all, they remind her of the good times on the road with granola bars and what not
Yang: Kix. I know sheā€™s the punch girl, but come on. Tell me she wouldnā€™t love Kix. Wish I had more to say about this one, but I just feel it in my bones
Jaune: Used to be Pumpkin Peteā€™s, but then ya know. Also he never really liked it that much, he just wanted the hoodie really badly. So i donā€™t know why but i really see him liking Cinnamon Toast Crunch
Pyrrha: Life (jkjk) Health nut that she is, itā€™s not one of the super sugary ones. But itā€™s also not likeā€¦ bran flakes. Unironically think sheā€™d really love Honey Nut Cheerios
Nora: Fucking Sugar Blast Supremes or something, letā€™s be real. She hoards the cereals from Halloween time, Count Chocula, and Boo Berry, and Frankenberry. Just the most synthetic shit youā€™ve ever seen
Ren: Raisin Bran. Because heā€™s a monster. He actually really likes it, but he hates the texture of the raisins in the milk, so he painstakingly removes every raisin, eats all the cereal, and then eats all the raisins
Oscar: He didnā€™t get a lot of cereal brands out on the farm, lots of morning oatmeal and eggs and whatnot. But once he made it to the big city, he absolutely fell in love with Froot Loops. And yes, he gets teased relentlessly for liking the most kiddy cereal ever
Emerald: Think sheā€™d really like Apple Cinnamon Cheerios. Or just normal Cheerios. In milk, or just plain, she loves those things. They were cheap to buy (or steal) so they were one of the few cereals she actually had
Mercury: Reeseā€™s Puffs. With his dad, it was only healthy food, or nothing at all. But heā€™d see the commercials on TV. So after killing Marcus, I kid you not, Mercury ate nothing but Reeseā€™s Puffs for like a week. And then he was sick. But it was worth it. And yes, he knows the entire rap
Qrow: Again, like Weiss, coffee or death. But I feel like heā€™d also like Honey Nut Cheerios. I really donā€™t know why, theyā€™re so un-Qrow. But maybe thatā€™s exactly why heā€™d like them

Meal Prep
Request from @lubunnii: Not going anon for this one. This is purely self indulgent,
Rossiā€™s child is underweight (not an ED or anything) and because of their anxiety they donā€™t really have an appetite.
Thatā€™s all I got, you can add more to that if you want.
David Rossi x teen!reader
Summary:Ā Preparation of food is a sign of love in your family, so when your anxiety makes your stomach churn, your dad prepares you something special.
A/N:Ā Thank you for this request! Hopefully it is what you were looking for. My ANS sucks so I understand the loss of appetite thing and sometimes a smoothie is all I can manage to get down so that's the first thing that came to mind.
CW:Ā reader has a hard time eating due to anxiety, reader is underweight, doctors don't take reader seriously, lots of talk about eating and food and feeling sick
---
You didnā€™t hate food. How could you when you grew up in the Rossi household? A place where meals were made with passion, following recipes that had been passed down for generations which brought people together time and time again. The careful preparation of dishes and gathering to eat together was part of the way your dad expressed love. Heā€™d go to the local grocery stores to pick out the finest ingredients and then spend hours in the kitchen cooking for the two of you, making sure everything was perfetto.
But good god your anxiety was a bitch. The underlying sensation of stress that caused your entire body to shake under the skin and your heart rate to rise also made you sick to your stomach. The nervous churning of your insides and the unsettled nature of your gut made you too nauseous to eat anything. Sometimes you could manage something easy on your stomach- a cup of plain yogurt with some fruit, half a granola bar, or a few bites of lightly buttered pasta if you were lucky- but some days you woke up feeling as thought you might vomit if you even smelled food.
And it really really sucked.
Your doctor had told you that you needed to eat more. Your weight had dropped below what was healthy, but all the M.D. did was write you a prescription for some prozac and send you on your way. Youā€™d go back in a few months just to find out that your body still couldnā€™t keep on weight and be switched to a different SSRI that wouldnā€™t do any good in fixing the problem. Any request you made for anti-nausea medication would be denied due to the fact that you ā€œjust needed to relaxā€ or ā€œlearn to meditateā€ or some other stupid passive gaslighting excuse a medical professional could come up with.
You laid on your bed, hoping that the nausea would subside soon so you could get something- anything- in your stomach. Despite your lack of appetite all you really wanted right now was to be able to enjoy the extravagant pasta dish your dad was preparing in the kitchen at the moment. The thought of missing out on it made you upset, but the thought of joining in made you want to vomit.
ā€œPolpette! Dinner is ready!ā€ your dad called from downstairs.
Years ago your nickname- meatball- would have made you smile. It was your favorite food when you were a little kid and it still was, but now hearing it just made you sad. Your stomach couldnā€™t handle the rich, hand-molded, mouth-watering food anymore.
You sighed and got out of bed, exhausted from your constant underlying unease and lack of fuel from being unable to consume more than a few hundred calories at a time. When you reached the kitchen, your dad welcomed you with his warmest smile.
ā€œWe have options tonight!ā€ he said. Since Garcia got him into meal prepping, heā€™d often spend his days off making multiple dishes that could be reheated easily if he was in a rush. David Rossi wouldnā€™t be caught dead buying take out. ā€œThere is simple lasagne, spinach and cheese ravioli, chicken tetrazzini, and your great grandmotherā€™s carbonara!ā€
The smell of the dishes hit your nose and your face warped as the idea of ingesting anything made you want to gag. You weighed your options.
ā€œI- um.ā€ You felt your face twist even more. ā€œI donā€™t think-ā€
You felt panic rise in your chest, your hands shaking and your stomach churning. Tears began to flood your eyes and you shut them tight to keep them from falling.
Rossi was next to you in a second, wrapping you in a fierce hug. ā€œItā€™s okay.ā€
ā€œNo itā€™s not, dad,ā€ there was a hitch in your voice. ā€œI want to eat but I feel so sick every time I think about it.ā€
Rossi placed a kiss on top of your head. ā€œGo sit in the living room. Iā€™ll be there in a minute, okay?ā€
You nodded and your dad wiped away your tears before you left the kitchen to sit in the living space. You curled up on the sofa, hugging your knees to your chest and leaning your head back against the couch cushions, willing your stomach to settle.
A few minutes later your dad walked into the living room and sat down next to you; he was holding a cup of something with a straw poking out the top. ā€œHere,ā€ he said, holding the straw for you. ā€œHave some of this.ā€
You slowly sipped from the straw, a not-too-sweet liquid filling your mouth. It was a smoothie- strawberry and blueberry if you had to guess. The ache in your stomach calmed just a little as you swallowed the liquid mixture. Your dad rubbed your back with his free hand and you took another small sip.
ā€œThere you go,ā€ Rossi said quietly. You leaned into him and he put the smoothie down on the coffee table to wrap you in a hug. ā€œHow are you feeling?ā€
ā€œA little better,ā€ you said. It was true- your dad knew exactly what you needed at that moment. It wasnā€™t a heavy dish that he had spent hours preparing, pouring his heart and generations of your familyā€™s cooking techniques into in an effort to make it the most mouth-watering and flavorful meal on the planet; it was some fruit and ice cubes in a blender.
ā€œGood,ā€ Rossi said. He squeezed you gently around the shoulders. ā€œWeā€™re going to figure this out, alright? But until then Iā€™ll do my best to make things easy for you.ā€
ā€œOkay,ā€ you whispered, thankful for your fatherā€™s understanding.
For the next hour, the two of you watched TV, him helping you take small sips of the smoothie between long stretches of time so you didnā€™t make yourself sick. It wasnā€™t until you almost finished the drink and he tucked you in bed that he went back to the kitchen to make a pitcher of the mixture in the hopes that you could drink some of it throughout the day tomorrow.
Perhaps it wasnā€™t the ingredients or the hours that made food special, but the thought and love behind it.

Vegan Kin Food Ideas
S'up! So, we've been seeing a lot of kin food posts, but the focus is always on meat. Then when vegan or vegetarian options are listed it's like salad + fruit and that's it. We've been vegan for some years now so here's a list of things we eat that we think others might enjoy too!
A piece of advice we found helpful is to think about the food item you miss and break it down into what exactly you miss. If you miss eating gems, is it the appearance? The crunch? Gritty texture or dry taste? In that spirit of that, our list will be largely broken up by texture/experience.
Crunch Crunch Snacks
This includes snacks/sides that get your jaws working or have a satisfying "snap" to them.
Roasted chickpeas
Kale chips
Ants on a log (celery, peanut butter and raisins)
Hummus + baby bell peppers/sugar snap peas/carrots
Granola / cereals (a lot of types are vegan, read the ingredients before purchasing)
Banana chips
Nuts + seeds
Popcorn (avoid "buttery" packages, buy plain or kettle corn)
Peanut butter pretzels (crunchy outside, delicious soft inside)
Smartie candies
Keep your cookies/chocolate bars in the fridge or freezer
Also, load cookies up with extra nuts/seeds/choco chips
Soft, but with some crunch
This section is for dishes/sides that are overall easier on the teeth, but with elements that still crunch or snap. If you're looking for recipes that combine different texture elements check these out.
Lentil nachos + nacho cheese sauce
"Crunchwrap" (quesadilla made with refried beans and homemade cheese sauce that we open and place tortilla chips and lettuce inside after grilling)
Tempeh bacon (we like this on a BLT or grilled cheese sandwich)
Crispy tofu sandwiches
Grilled asparagus
Apple slices with nut butter
Pickles
Apple turnovers
Vegan sushi (there's a ton of recipes, check out these two collections to get started X, X)
Falafel (can be used a hundred different ways, sandwiches, wraps, on it's own, etc.)
Roasted chickpeas again, but with a caveat**: You can roast them at 350 F for 30 mins and they'll be cooked enough to pop between your teeth, but soft in the center. We like to either eat them as-is or top our salads with them. (We season with salt/pepper before going into the oven, nothing else) **Must be eaten after baking, they will not keep
For the foragers in the crowd
These dishes focus more on having either multiple different foods in a visible way or a tactile element to how you eat them.
Chia pudding
Smoothie bowls
Overnight oatmeal
Trail mix
Pumpkin bars (We replace the egg with a flax egg and use vegan butter)
Chocolate chip banana monkey bread
Corn on the cob
Grilled veggie kebabs
Cranberry cilantro quinoa salad
Chili
Bush's beans and rice
Salads topped with sliced fruit, nuts, grains and/or beans
Edamame (a favorite, we love pulling out the insides with our teeth, you can get ones without the pods if they bother you)
Plant-based burgers, the kinds with the chunks of veggies (our favorite is dr. praeger's black bean quinoa burgers)
Chewy Foods
This section is for foods that work your jaw, but more in a "needing to chew" way.
Potato gnocchi
Dried fruit (comes in all different flavors, not just raisins)
Swedish fish, red vines, skittles or sour patch kids
Granola bars (a lot of types are vegan, read the ingredients before purchasing)
Thick bread-y pizza (our favorite dough recipe)
Pancakes
Chewy chocolate chip cookies
Peanut butter cookies
Baked oatmeal
Potato skins
Meat Substitutes
The most obvious way to make a dish vegan is to sub in the appropriate mock meat. We've eaten quite a few and we won't sugar-coat it: a lot of them are either going to match the taste, texture, OR look. It's hard for mock meats to copy meat 1:1, some get way closer than others, but if you go into this expecting no difference you will be disappointed.
Our two favorite brands are Impossible and Gardein. We've tried a lot of their products and have yet to eat one we don't like.
These aren't your only options though!
Beans
Falafel (deep-fried balls of ground chickpea)
Tofu
Tempeh (fermented soybeans)
Seitan (made from wheat gluten)
Jack fruit
You might have guessed based on the recipes shared, but we usually opt for beans. We haven't eaten much seitan or jack fruit, but they are options. At our local grocery stores they're sold in the "free from" section and can be brought pre-seasoned and ready to cook with. Jack fruit in particular is a popular replacement for shredded pork.
The trick with a lot of these is to marinate them. Tofu in particular so you can infuse it with flavor. Here's a few recipes we love:
Lentil and sweet potato loaf ("Neat"loaf)
Marinated tofu
Crispy tofu sandwiches
Tempeh bacon
Chili (our mom's recipe that we modified)
Soft / Squish
For things that are soft or squishy and you can slurp up.
Seaweed salad
miso soup
Pico de Gallo Black Bean Soup
"Nice" cream
Chocolate mousse
Oatmeal
Popsicles
Applesauce
Brownie batter hummus
Chia seed jam
Lavender syrup (to flavor other drinks, we use it in coffee)
Lavender lemonade (final product will be a light brown color)
Mashed potatoes + Gravy
Slow cooker apple cider
Tofu scramble
JUST egg
Non-dairy mac and cheese (our favorite brand is the upton's)
Smoothies (if you're looking for a protein powder to include, we recommend Vega)
**Just a reminder to supplement for B12 if you're consuming a vegan diet. There are some foods that are fortified with it; however, a supplement is cheap, easy to find and all-around a more reliable way to ensure you are getting enough.

Maybe Stiles has a spell put on him without his knowledge and it makes him a thoughtless glutton? An almost hypnotic effect + some rapid weight gain? He manages to text Derek that he doesn't feel great before his mind can only send him hunger signals, and by the time Derek shows up he's cleared out the fridge and the pantry and has ordered a comical amount of food to be delivered, his mind only focused on more. As much as Derek would love to get to the bottom of whatever spell is messing with Stiles, he gets roped into feeding him instead. Eventually he has the rest of the pack come by to help, getting their ditzy human comfortable before feeding him almost non-stop. The spell wears off after a few days, but by then Stiles can't lift a finger, and his packmates are happy to keep pampering him and teasing him for being so greedy.
There is something great about the "eats so much his stomach is practically the size of the room" until the spell passes and Stiles finds his stomach shrinking down - but the pounds piling on and softening him up everywhere. So - this is a little bit of...comically fat and fantasy BIG (but I love that trope so...) When Derek gets Stiles' text, he rushes over. Happens to run into the delivery guy who is carrying several boxes of pizza which Derek pays for and carries in to some confusion. He walks in to see Stiles sitting in front of the empty freezer and fridge, belly packed tight and resting proudly in his lap. "Did you eat all of this?" "'m hungry," Stiles burps. Derek sort of kicks through the remains of jars and ice cream containers. "You ate a jar of mayo?"
"I guess. Don't remember." "These pizzas were FROZEN, you're supposed to cook them!" Stiles shrugs, then clutches his belly with both hands as another wave of hunger hits him. "I'm so hungry, Derek." Derek texts the pack an SOS, as Stiles continues to groan and complain he's hungry. Derek gets Stiles to his feet, and Stiles immediately heads over to the pizza boxes and bends over the counter and starts eating. He finishes in record time and Derek can see that Stiles gut has gotten visibly wider. But despite having eaten 3 pizzas, Stiles is still nearly crying that he's hungry. He sounds almost like he's in pain so Derek gives in and runs to the pantry and starts emptying it, tearing off wrappers and tossing the contents to Stiles. Cookies, granola bars, plain cereal, even uncooked Pasta seems to happily satisfy Stiles' growing need. **** When the pack arrives, Derek sends some of them off to research the spell, and the others off to buy food. When it becomes clear that Stiles is eating faster than they can feed him - Derek gets desperate. He can't handle the desperate "N-Need ...*gulp*... more ...*gnash*... I'm ...*slosh*... s-sho hungry." coming from Stiles. Delivery takes too long, there's no food left in the house..so the solution becomes move Stiles to the food. Takes a bag of snack food Scott ran to get from the closest gas station, and then Stiles in the car, the entire time holding his beach-ball-sized belly nearly in tears asking Derek "why won't you feed me? I'm so hungry. We need to get food..." (In some fantasy bullshit move - Derek just throws a good chunk of the Hale fortune at the local grocery store owner - maybe the spell extends some level of hypnotic effect to him too- and he agrees to just - sell Derek everything in the store and closes down.)
Stiles RUNS in, belly bouncing in front of him, and the first thing he comes across is the soda display. He wastes no time- starts unscrewing the caps, tossing them to the side, and guzzling the 2liters down in under two minutes. (The entire pack stops and stares and asks Derek if they should let him keep going, and Derek doesn't have a good answer other than "Yes, or he gets upset." Which...he knows is terrible and enabling but what else can they do?) Stiles guzzles his way through about 200 liters of soda before he falls to the ground with a sloshing noise like waves hitting the beach, his belly so comically wide it was now covering his feet.
"D-Derek, ...*hfffbUAARRP*... I ...*uhhhnn*... need ...*Buaaaaarp*... m-more ...*burRRPPpp*... I'm ...*uhhmm*... shtill ... h-hungry." "Feed him!" Derek orders. They all spread out and start rushing food over to Stiles. Cooked or not, frozen or not, it didn't seem to matter to the black hole that was Stiles' growing belly. When the tubs of ice cream were out? He started sucking on bottles of hot fudge. The entire bakery depleted and all the loaves of bread? He started sticking two fingers into jars of jelly and peanut butter to make quick work of emptying their contents. His middle keeps expanding. The pack piles up food on his belly, until Stiles arms start being able to reach less and less and then they start cramming the food directly into his mouth. Butter. Tubs of sour cream. Heavy cream. Milk. Mountains of chocolate bars. Cookie dough. With eat bite and swallow, Stiles was growing wider and wider until he started vanishing into a massive fat sphere of his belly. When the store is mostly depleted, Stiles finally seems to wake out of the spell. Looks around in confusion before, " N-No ...*urrRPPphh*... more. ...*ehhphh*... I'm ...*hnnff*... t-too ...*uhhhmm*... full. ...*nggnhh*..." Derek just stares at the mountains of trash, the to Stiles, who is far too fat to get out of the front doors or even the loading dock, and wonders what the hell to do next. Doesn't have anything to really say except "Oh, are you finally done? Are you sure?" "You ate the entire store!" "I don't think you're fat enough, should we roll you to a chocolate factory next?" The spell hits the next phase- Stiles eyes are rolling back in his head as an orgasmic feeling hit him - all that food packed in his belly starts turning to fat. Derek watches him go from a "belly the size of a house attached to a skinny body" to double chins, flabby arms, belly shrinking to the size of a full-person beanbag. He's still too fat to stand, panting and eyes fluttering as the sensation fades, but he can at least now wiggle his toes and move his arms once more. "We....we can fix this, right?" He looks to Derek. "Right?" Derek doesn't answer.
"Should we keep feeding him?"
"I bet he could clean out a Costco!"
"He's already too fat to move...it doesn't matter if he gets fatter."
Stiles looks nervous. "N- no. I can lose this! I can walk! Can someone just...help me up?" Derek goes over to him, poking a finger into Stiles' side. It disappears into his fat roll. "Yeah, let's keep feeding him."

I almost forgot to ask: do you want to tell us about your overnight oats?
Tumblr media
Boy do I ever!!! Please continue under the cut if you want to hear me talk about breakfast for way too long
I've posted my overnight oats recipe before but generally speaking:
1/3 cup steel cut oats*
1/3 cup milk of choice**
1/3 cup yogurt of choice***
An Amount of peanut/almond/whatever butter, honey, maple syrup, granola, nuts, fruit, jam, seeds, etc. Go crazy go stupid
*Generally the rule should be 1 part oats to 2 parts liquid, so if you want all yogurt or all milk that's fine, and increasing to 1/2 cup oats would mean 1 cup liquid, etc. Also you can play fast and loose with this rule, it doesn't have to be exact
**my favorite milk rn is oat milk! It has kind of a natural sweetness that is nice, I don't really like milk in general so I have kind of just been buying stuff at random but I think this is what I'll stick with going forward
***I'm also obsessed with plain greek yogurt (this post is making me sound like a health nut??) so I add that but any kind works. I genuinely love the taste of plain greek yogurt but getting a good vanilla or other flavored greek / non-greek yogurt is a good way to add flavor without a ton of effort or adding other things :)
Add-ins I'm fond of:
BANANASā— super mild so they go good with anything
sesame seeds
cashews
replacing part of the yogurt or milk with spiced apple sauce is REALLY good
cookie butter is so so so good in it if you have that. I assume any sweet spread like nutella would be great too. I got my dad these fancy peanut butters for xmas and used some in my overnight oats and they were fantastic
chocolate chips, cocoa powder
Vanilla Extract...
Dried fruit like cranberries, raisins, mango, etc.
There's also lots of ideas out there, I tried to keep the above pretty straightforward but if you web search it people are making brownie overnight oats, tiramisu overnight oats, creamsicle, carrot cake, pina colada, the list is endless. At work, my old boss had learned about my obsession and gave me a ton of these packets from an overnight oats subscription service (??? they'll make anything these days) that his wife had gotten and didn't like. I'm not interested in buying it but it gave me some fun flavor ideas that you can see on their site if you click the link!
When I get some time I want to make bubble tea overnight oats by making some good milk tea for the liquid and topping it with tapioca pearls and brown sugar syrup :) I like that if you want to make something complicated out of oats you can but it's also very easy to just mix some oats and yogurt and be done with it. I've tried multiple times to make oats on the stove top and I'm gonna be real with you I think they're better cold, idk I've gotten in friendly arguments about this irl
I'm a big breakfast person and I know it's a meal a lot of people skip or substitute with caffeine but I do think getting some real calories in your system helps as much as good sleep does. It's unfortunate that we all have to work a ton and something as simple as "making breakfast in the morning" feels like a luxury on a workday. I like that I can prep something like this a few days in advance and enjoy it at work at my leisure <3 I'm lucky I work an office job that allows me to do that lol!

Thought Iā€™d give what Iā€™ve been eating over the years.
VEGETABLES + FRUIT
šŸ’œJust for this one, I try ones with high water content. Right now Iā€™m eating cucumber slices with tajin spice or other seasonings. It works well along with a chicken breast from an air fryer for my 8 hour shifts.
šŸ’œTypical fruits but I usually go for melons and blueberries. Iā€™m not too scared of them and considered a safe food with limits
PROTEINS
šŸ’œQuest bars are expensive but pretty damn helpful. Low-cal given itā€™s a protein bar.
šŸ’œNot seen here but salmon or chicken or what I go for with protein as well. I know itā€™s kinda scary with salmon since itā€™s high in oils but the pay off is worth it to get the right vitamins and energy so you donā€™t feel like dying 24/7ļæ¼
šŸ’œPlain Greek yogurt is wonderful because of the probiotics so digestion is better, and helps with bloating. Itā€™s a great protein source and I pair it some fibrous granola and chia seeds so I feel fuller longerļæ¼
DRINKS
šŸ’œA lot of flavored sparkling water. It never let me down and the fizz keeps me full
šŸ’œDifferent types of probiotic drinks and kombucha. Very low cal, fizzy, helps the digestionļæ¼
šŸ’œZero sugar monster energy drinks, we donā€™t talk about her.
SNACKS + SWEETS
šŸ’œSugar free jello always helped me in dire times so I keep it in stock.
šŸ’œI remember someone saying to keep small candies in your pocket with youā€™re going out so youā€™re not tempted to buy sweets. I keep 60 cal worth of candies in my pocket for my long work days so preventing a huge binge.
Remember to eat slow. Chew thoroughly. Drink water in between.
Love to hear more of your tips and safe foods šŸ«¶šŸ¾ļæ¼

@mostrohost sent || sweet or savoury breakfast?
do they prefer their shampoos and soaps plain, or do they like to smell like something specific?
do they have the dreaded "laundry chair" where they put dirty clothes on?
do they use specific ringtones depending on who calls them, or do they use just one for everyone?
Tumblr media
Mundane Headcanons || Accepting
sweet or savoury breakfast?
Neither really; Yuu doesn't really eat breakfast in the traditional sense, usually just grabbing a granola bar or piece of toast, but when she has the chance to she is having a fruity breakfast with a granola parfait. Yuu certainly wouldn't turn up her nose at either choice though, generally just being happy she gets the time to eat an actual breakfast.
do they prefer their shampoos and soaps plain, or do they like to smell like something specific?
Yuu loves any flora scented soaps and shampoo's, immediately drawn to lily or lavender scents the most just cause they both have such a calming scent profile to them. For Grim however she buys plain, just clean, scented soaps and when she is running out of hers and doesn't have the money to get more she'll end up using that. So her scent profile with shift from floral's to just not smelling bad depending on when you catch her.
do they have the dreaded "laundry chair" where they put dirty clothes on?
No, Yuu is pretty quick about washing her clothes even if she's doing it herself just cause she has so few articles of clothing to actually choose from in twisted wonderland. She will however, leave her school uniform jacket, vest and lab coat tossed over the chair in her and Grim's room not bothering to hang up something that she's going to continuously need.
do they use specific ringtones depending on who calls them, or do they use just one for everyone?
Yuu doesn't mess with her phone much, more often leaving it sit on her beside table and not touching it for days on end sometimes. So everyone has the same standard programmed in ringtone that came with the phone unless someone is changing the tone that goes off on her phone themselves. Such as Ace, Deuce and Epel who each changed it to one of their favorite songs insisting they deserved special tones. Despite not having a special tone for each person though, the names inputted into the phone are definitely unique from person to person. Most commonly being one of the auto programmed in emoiji's or a nickname that Yuu might call the person in her phone by.

Tali's hot grocery tip of the week: Eat your protein. Buy canned tuna. It tastes delicious, lasts forever, put mayo on it and you have protein you can eat with bread/crackers/veg/noodles/rice. Get solid if you want control over texture, chunk light if you like packed in oil. Buy canned chicken when fresh chicken isn't on sale- dump into pasta with pesto, dump into salsa rice and beans, dump into mayo mustard celery, whatever. Store brand is fine. Buy imitation/fake crab- it's usually cheap and on sale in larger packs as it can go bad relatively fast. Check what the protein is. My fake crab at the store is primarily Alaska pollock so that's a good protein. Make seafood salad with it and it lasts significantly longer in the fridge covered. Buy whole fat unsweetened greek yogurt- mix it with jam and frozen berries, make flatbread with it, put it into your oatmeal. In fact, if you buy protein powder, you can dump that and greek yogurt along with oatmeal and liquid of choice in a jar. Let it hang out in the fridge overnight, microwave next morning. Put peanut butter in there too if you want. Eat this instead of cereal. Just stop eating cereal please it's such a scam. Hell, buy cereal and use it like granola with the yogurt and berries. A cereal with granola/nuts would be best but plain Frosted Flakes is awesome too.
I've noticed a lot of folk I talk to trying to feed themselves usually don't know cheap alt ways to get protein beyond PB or beans, which goes a long way into feeling full.

grocery list time~
literally just get these things if you want a vegan low cal life, because you can control portions and make things you enjoy eating with less calories- i made some example recipes under the list:
coffee.
SPICES. please make the investment into SPICES!
->continuation of spices, heres a basic list- cocoa powder, cinnamon, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, veggie bouillon powder/cubes, salt, pepper, lemon pepper, etc (you can find more online but please dont forget it)
->and simple sauces like soy sauce, basic hot sauce, mustard, white vinegar, apple cider vinegar, etc.
stevia or agave fruit sweetener. (please make sure whatever you choose you dont buy any sweetener with aspartame!!)
dairy free yogurt (iā€™ve heard coconut is good)
dairy free butter (earthbalance is my fav by far)
-> you could also make due with olive oil (cooking)
1st milk for normal stuff- unsweet cashew milk or unsweet creamy almond milk
->2nd milk for cooking- i suggest soymilk but creamy coconutmilk works good too
tofu. extra firm and silky work for different things (meat substitutes, egg substitute, diff. milk products substitutes) get either/both
carrots, mushrooms, chickpeas, and cauliflower all make good meat substitutes (bacon, chicken nuggets, pulled pork, etc) if cooked properly
OATS! plain oats are soooo versatile (used as flour, cereal, granola, crust, etc)
ricecakes (i use it as replacement for toast)
Pumpkin or sweet potato (in NO SYRUP canned form, very good for cooking low cal desserts or protein bars)
apple sauce (used for cooking and just yum- can be an egg substitute)
low cal noodle types- chickpea, edamame, shirataki, konjac, cauliflower, zucchini, spaghetti squash, and i think miracle noodle
literally any and all veggies and fruits- but a reminder of basics are broccoli, cucumber, onions, spinach, beets, eggplant, tomato, zucchini, potato, apple, banana, grapes, oranges, pineapple, strawberries, watermelon, mango, etc
WARNING āš ļø be careful of sugar free drink flavor packets as they contain aspartame and other strange ingredients that ppl have complained of side effects- i would suggest to steer clear of many of the packets and go for a large unsweetened lemonade or fruit punch bin of flavoring so you can make it yourself. please check ingredients for health reasons.
-> HOWEVER, drinks like olipop, simple truth organic, waterloo, and zevia all have flavored water/sparkling water/cola drinks that are aspartame free.
I highlighted things that i think are really important
Veggie dip: yogurt, seasoning spices (ranch seasoning is goated), and a tbsp or lemon or soysauc, all mixed and best used as a ā€œveggie chipā€ dip, like baked cucumber chips
Literally any cake/protein bar: oats blended, protein powder, 1/2cup apple sauce OR mashed banana, some milk, and whatever toppings you like
Granola: oats, chia seeds, cut up fruit pieces, and maple syrup or honey for binding. mix in bag, bake on baking sheet on pan.
Hot n sour soup: you can use hot n sour packet or make veggie bouillon and add hot sauce, soy sauce, and tsp chili powder. Then (to whichever mix youā€™ve made) add egg mixing around, and then add extra firm tofu in little cubes. Let the soup mix well and set a little while cooling.
Nicecream: freeze banana. add banana, tbsp of milk, 2 tbsp of yogurt, tbsp of sweetener, and a fruit of choice (a tbsp of protein powder also will help). blend with blender and then let it sit for a minute- add whatever you want on top
my best ā€œtoastā€: seasalt ricecake, spread 1tbsp vegan cream cheese, and then spread 1.5 tbsp of organic raspberry jelly.

hey vinnie!! i bought some kefir the other day and just opened it and i think i remember you talking about kefir awhile back so i was just wondering, how do you drink it? do you put something in it? is yours flavoured or plain? i'm struggling but i'm not sure if that's a sign that it's not for me or if i'm just not treating her right. please help.
omg hi adam! yes, that's me, the kefir lover <3 grade-a kef-head over here.
typically when i use kefir, i'm not drinking it on its own, because i'm not a huge dairy enjoyer if its by itself (other than the blueberry flavored kefir, but if i'm going to buy kefir, it's because i want to put it in other things, so i haven't had the blueberry kefir in a while. or i'm making my own kefir, in which case i never go out of my way to flavor it).
so i mostly have it with cereal (specifically granola-like cereal, and even more specifically granola with dried strawberries/other fruits in it, since i think kefir shines best when fruit is involved <- which is odd for me, because i'm not typically a dried-fruit-in-cereal enjoyer. it's just a combination that i specifically like in this instance) or to make smoothies! and sometimes as a replacement for for milk in my french toast recipe, if i'm feeling a little decadent, since it makes a thicker base, not unlike when i've tried using heavy whipping cream as a milk replacement.
in general, my personal opinion is that kefir works best if treated closer to yogurt than milk, in that it's a good tart-flavored base to add other things to, rather than something to have on its own.
wishing you bountiful luck and many returns on this kefir flirtation you've begun šŸ™

Jaskier and his Snuggly Wuggly Killing Machines Part 3
The next day Jaskier was up early. Today he would go buy clothes for the boys and put together their closets. Carpet and wallpaper should be up and done by tomorrow and treats and decor will be arriving after they move in but they have mattresses and blankies and andĀ
ā€˜Ā Calm down Jask... they like you. Itā€™ll be okayĀ ā€™ Jaskier tells himself.Ā
Jaskier got dressed in a pair of pink shorts, a yellow button up short sleeved shirt, a pair of white sunflower socks, and his pink sneakers. He packed his plain black backpack with a sunflower on it and got on his way to the store and then the pound. He quickly ordered everything to be picked up after he left the pound. He ordered blankets, sheets, pillows, and got his delivery slip for the mattresses. He also hopped over to the grocery and bought a pack of milk candies and some granola bars, and packed them away in his backpack.Ā
Jaskier tried his best to stay calm. Today people would be coming over to put down the carpet and painting and putting up wallpaper. Everything is going to be okay. Mattresses and bedroom furniture and everything else essential is either being delivered or heā€™s buying today. Itā€™ll all be okay once he gets his babies home.Ā
He again walked right to the doors only waving at the lady behind the desk. He asked Damien to unlock the doors and soon enough he was grinning ear to ear being half smothered by warm purring witchers. Today they asked him if they needed to bathe before coming home and Jaskier saw that as an opportunity.Ā
ā€œOh no, no you donā€™t! We can have a lovely bath time the second you get home! I have a quite large tub in the bathroom by your bedrooms. I donā€™t think we can fit two of you in at a time but the bathroom is big and itā€™ll be all steamy and warm and nice. I think that will be perfect! Iā€™ll get each of you a nice bath caddy with soaps and shampoo and everything! Iā€™ll add it to the list!.ā€ Jaskier said excitedly and put that on the list on his phone.Ā
ā€œYou have a list?ā€ Eskel asked and looked over at Jaskierā€™s phone.Ā  Jaskier pulled the electronic close to his chest.Ā
ā€œNo peeking! I want you all to be dazzled when you get home!ā€ Jaskier said and checked his phone. 11:30. Thirty more minutes until he had to leave for the day.Ā
ā€œWell babiesā€¦ I only have half an hour before I have to leave. Iā€™ve got so much stuff arriving today for your rooms! Iā€™m so excited! I really hope you like them. I have a few things I need to do in the kitchen tooā€¦ I think you all need steaks as your welcome home dinner!ā€ Jaskier told them. Lambert purred extra loud and conked his head against Jaskier's. Geralt looked sad though.
ā€œGeralt, my sweet dove, why the long face?ā€ Jaskier said and put his hand under Geraltā€™s chin making the pet look at his face. Geraltā€™s eyes looked teary and he had his bottom lip stuck out and quivering a bit.Ā
ā€œYou're so niceā€¦ā€ Is all the white haired babe said before the tears started to fall. He kept his trembling lips sealed shut but his eyes let out rivers of tears. Jaskier gasped and pulled Geralt into his lap so his head could rest on the singerā€™s shoulder.Ā
ā€œOh you poor baby, poor little baby. Iā€™ll always be nice to you darlings. You donā€™t deserve to be treated in any way but nicely. Itā€™s okay, itā€™s alright, Iā€™m right here you can cry as long as you need.ā€ Jaskier said in a soft gentle tone and petted down Geraltā€™s sides. Geralt sniffled and whimpered and rubbed his face into Jaskierā€™s neck.Ā
ā€œBearā€¦ you can't just keep him hereā€¦ Heā€™s got things to do.ā€ Eskel said as he tried to pull Geralt away but he tightly wrapped his arms around Jaskier. Eskel tried to pry him and Lambert rubbed the crying babes back.Ā
ā€œNo! No, I ā€˜anna stay! I wanna stay!ā€ Geralt cried out and grabbed onto Jaskier so hard it probably would leave bruises. Jaskier felt his heart break in a million pieces as he tried to pull himself away from the witcher. Jaskier started to tear up as he stood up, effectively dropping Geralt onto Eskelā€™s lap.Ā
ā€œIā€™m sorry baby, Iā€™m so sorry. Iā€™ll be back tomorrow. After tomorrow you can come sit on my lap all day everyday and cuddle up with me in bed and never ever have to leave. But I need to go. Iā€™m so sorry you poor little baby.ā€ Jaskier said as he watched Eskel hold down Geraltā€™s hands from where they wanted to grab back onto Jaskier. Jaskier had a few tears rolling down his face. He looked over at Lambert who looked frightened and had a few tears rolling down his face. He was the youngest so it probably upset him like nothing else to see Geralt so distraught.Ā
Jaskier bent down and wiped away Lambertā€™s tears and kissed his forehead.
ā€œCalm down kitty. I love you, Iā€™ll see you tomorrow.ā€ Jaskier said as he ruffled Lambert's hair and rubbed his ears a bit.Ā
ā€œI want Jaskier! I want I want-ā€ Geralt hollered again and thrashed around in Eskelā€™s grip. The eldest of the three only shushed and held tighter onto the white haired babe.Ā
ā€œBear, Geralt, Stop. Stop it. Youā€™re not being nice. Stop it!ā€ Eskel scolded Geralt until he went lax and just cried quietly. Eskel looked up at Jaskier, he looked sickened. Jaskier bent and kissed Eskelā€™s forehead and whispered to him.Ā
ā€œEskel, baby, darling, I love you. Iā€™ll see you tomorrow. Please look after him until I can come back.ā€ Jaskier said right against Eskelā€™s scarred forehead. Eskel nodded.Ā
ā€œGoodbye Jaskier. Ple-please come back soon.ā€ Eskel said shyly. Even his walls were starting to crumble when he was about the tender man. Jaskier nodded and quickly turned away and knocked on the glass and waved at the person who had let him in.Ā
ā€œI will return tomorrow. Iā€™ll spend all day with you if I can. Bye bye for now babies.ā€ Jaskier said and smiled back at them. The door opened and he hurried out with tears running down his face once again.Ā
He hated having to leave his babies each day. But he had to go because he needed the house to be perfect for when they arrived. He needed to go and wait for the delivery trucks.Ā
Soon Jaskier was sitting at his desk with his office door thrown open, watching the workers drag in each box of furniture and everything else he bought. He would go through it himself and organize it all. When he had arrived home he had placed a same day order for their clothes, hygiene tools, and toys. There were boxes stacked from the entry all the way covering the living room floor and covering the kitchen counters. Jaskier waited until the only people left were those who were painting and putting up wallpaper. Tomorrow while he was away people would come and lay the carpet and flooring.Ā
Jaskier got up and walked over to his kitchen counter which was littered with brown cardboard boxes. He grabbed a steak knife from the drawer and cut the first one. Soaps and toothpaste. He pulled out big pump bottles full of chamomile, honey, and lavender shampoos and conditioners. He lifted packs of toothbrushes and sweet flavored toothpaste, he laughed at himself right then, heā€™s going to have to make sure the boys donā€™t eat the toothpaste. He finished the box off by pulling out coconut body wash and creamy hand soap.Ā
Jaskier put those in one spot on the table. That would be the bathroom section. Box after box he organized each into piles on the table. A pile of mainly blues, blacks, and whites and chamomile scents were Geralts, the pile of soft cottony greens and sweet scents were Lambertā€™s, and the big red pile scented with honey and herbs was for Eskel. There was also a pile of towels, soaps, and everything else for the bathroom and a pile of toys and mats for the basement.Ā
Jaskier had only unpack the kitchen area and there was still so much more but he smiled. This was all for his babies. He loved giving. He loves pampering, not just himself, but everyone around him. You could ask his backstage staff or anyone who had ever worked for or with him. Now he had three babes who expected the minimum. He had three babies who could be pampered and spoiled rotten. He was pleased as a peach.Ā
Jaskier took a break and had a sandwich and a bowl of fruit and yogurt. He just walked around while eating. He peaked in the now perfectly painted rooms. He would have to tip the painters, they did an amazing jobā€¦ He walked down to the basement where the walls were now covered in a nice calm grey paint and the floors were covered in a plain hardwood floor. He had chosen a flooring that was more sturdy than pretty because he planned on covering the floor in some nice colorful puzzle piece mats and rugs.Ā
Jaskier walked back up to his mess of boxes. He started with a big heavy one that looked like it had a bookshelf in it. A nice plain wooden bookshelf for Eskelā€™s room. He pulled the box over to one side of the living room. The Esk-y side of the room. He shoved a mattress and a box spring over to that side. He popped open each box and looked for all of theĀ  witcherā€™s stuff. Red, brown, tan, and yellows soon piled up on that side of the room. He then moved onto Lambertā€™s and then greens, golds, creams, and dark greens piled up on that wall. Jaskier then pushed the rest to the other wall. Geraltā€™s wall was piled with blues, whites, grays, and blacks piled up there.Ā
At the kitchen counter Jaskier found and pulled out three plastic bathroom caddies, blue, red, and green, and started putting them together. A nice comb and brush, shampoo and conditioner, a fluffy loofah, a washrag, bodywash, and a bottle lotion in each. Eskel had mostly herbal and lavender scents, Lambert had honey and floral scents, and Geralt had chamomile and vanilla. He made sure to get each boy scents and textures that they liked.Ā
Jaskier smiled down at the baskets and then looked up and looked in the backyard. He let out a bit of a gasp. It was already dark out? He turned to look at the oven clock and ohā€¦ oh it was already elevenā€¦ heā€™d been organizing and separating for almost six hoursā€¦
Jaskier decided he best get a shower and get to bed since he needed to be up and ready by about nine to go visit the babies. Jaskier smiled as he made his way through his nightly routine and smiled when he got in bed. Maybe the babies would like to sleep in his bedā€¦ Heā€™d better get a bigger bed than his (very comfortable) queen bed.Ā
Jaskier slept very well with dreams of wrastly witchers with full tummies and brushed ears.Ā
The next day Jaskier got up, ate some pancakes, packed his backpack and got on his way. He picked up a bag of powdered donuts on his way after getting gas. He again got beeped into his babies room and cuddled with them for hours. He brought a brush with him today.Ā
After the boys finished eating the donuts and cuddledĀ  with him for about an hour, and after quite a bit of sniffing and kissings and nuzzles and a few licks, Jaskier pushed Lambert and Eskel off his sides and pulled Geraltā€™s head up off his lap.Ā
ā€œWhat doin?ā€ Geralt mumbled as he blinked awake and rolled onto his butt to sit.Ā
ā€œI brought a brush with me! I thought you might let me brush your hair or your tailsl? If not thatā€™s fine! Or if youā€™d like to do it yourselves thatā€™s also fine! You choose though.ā€ Jaskier said and watched his babies all smile and wag.
ā€œCan I go first?ā€ Eskel asked his brothers. Geralt nodded and Lambert said a small ā€œsureā€. Then Eskel then scooted to be in front of Jaskier backwards. Jaskier started with hsi hair and around his ears, he didnā€™t have a little brush for their ears with him, and then when that was all smooth and tangle-less he started to brush the eldestā€™s tail. Jaskier thought it was quite therapeutic. The rhythmic brushes down the lovely dark brown fur. The way occasionally Eskel would move to flip his tail one way or another. Jaskier hadnā€™t noticed that Geralt and Lambert both had shifted to sit beside him and watch.Ā
When Jaskier was done he bent forward and kissed the back of Eskelā€™s neck.Ā
ā€œAll done puppy-dumplin! Whoā€™s next?ā€ Jaskier asked. Eskel turned back to him and looked so relaxed and happy. He had on a sweet smile plastered on his face. No one ever called them names like that.Ā
Lambert quickly clambered over so he was sitting where Eskel was once Eskel scooted to sit by Jaskier's backpack.Ā
ā€œI wanna be brushesed! I wanna be all pretty.ā€ Lambert said as flicked his long sleek tail up into the man's lap. Lambert had a quite soft tail if Jaskier was being honest. His hair was quite greasy and his ears probably needed to be cleaned but that would be easy to handle tomorrow when they were all home with him.Ā
As Jaskier ran the brush through Lambertā€™s hair the last time before moving to his tail he asked the boys a question.Ā
ā€œAre you excited to come home tomorrow?ā€ Jaskier asked and Geralt started to purr so loudly and Eskel let out a few breathy whines. Lambert started to wiggle on his butt though.Ā
ā€œYes! Yes! Getta go home! Getta go home with Jask-y! Jask-y!ā€ Lambert chirped out happily. Eskel yapped out quick ā€œHome! Home! Home!ā€ and Geralt purred and let out a high pitched growling noise. Jaskier laughed at Geralt.Ā
ā€œBaby Bear, what was that? Youā€™re so silly.ā€ Jaskier asked and turned toward Geralt, who had the biggest smile spread across his face. His eyes were squinched up because of it and his big fang teeth were on full display.Ā
ā€œThatā€™s his happy noise. Weā€™ve never met anyone else who can make it but it just means heā€™s happy.ā€ Eskel explained and Geralt just made the noise again. It sounded like it should be either a growl or a coo but ended up being a cute little mix of them both.Ā
ā€œWell it is so cute! I hope to hear it all the time when we get home! Let when I show you all your roomsā€¦ and your bedsā€¦ and the pantry!ā€ Jaskier finished and Lambert heaved himself back so he thunked his chest against the manā€™s.Ā
ā€œFood! I wanna eat all the food! And candy! I love candy! And bread, I love bread! And meat I love meat!ā€ Lambert rambled on. Eskel agreed and Geralt just stared at Jaskier.Ā
ā€œYes I know. Iā€™ll cook us a nice dinner and we can have a lovely long bathtime and we can all watch a movie. How does that sound as a first day in the new house?ā€ Jaskier suggested.Ā
ā€œI wanna be home with Jask-y. I wanna cuddle and a blankie.ā€ Geralt said. Jaskier is so happy he bought about half a billion blankets for each of them.Ā
ā€œI want steaks and kisses and bath time with Jaskier.ā€ Lambert said and smiled up at his new owner.Ā
ā€œI wanna be anywhere but hereā€¦ on a mattress with some cookies.ā€ Eskel said and giggled. Jaskier could tell his walls are only up because he isnā€™t home.Ā
Jaskier spent the rest of the day talking to the witchers and cuddling and took a nice long nap. The babes didnā€™t ever sleep well in their little prison. They even showed Jaskier how they can doĀ sooooĀ many push ups and sit ups and how flexible they are. And Jaskier appreciated it allĀ veryĀ much. He should buy them some nice yoga matsā€¦
When it was time to leave there werenā€™t any tears, just big smiles and kisses. Jaskier smiled as he made his way home.Ā
The carpet and flooring was all laid and perfect so Jask put together each room. Void TVs but the rest of everything was all ready. Curtains to sheets to chew toys in bins. He waited until the bedrooms and bathroom were ready before venturing down into the basement. He would let the babies decorate down here, but he got all the boxes down there in the closet.Ā
That night after a nice flowery bath Jaskier hopped into bed and had dreams of snuggly warm bodies and strange growly purrs and big wet kisses.Ā
Tomorrowā€™s the big day...

Eating my overnight oats rn and theyā€™re so good so here is my recipe go forth and eat oats like a horse
The first step is to have fun and be yourself. The second step is to ignore everything I say and do whatever you want cause there are no rules <3
The overnight part:
ā…“ cup oats
ā…“ cup milk (I buy a different kind of milk / nut milk every time Iā€™m at the store cause Iā€™m not a milk drinker and donā€™t know whatā€™s best but rn I have an almond/coconut mix and itā€™s really good)
ā…“ cup plain Greek yogurt (if no yogurt or you donā€™t like it have a second ā…“ cup of milk)
1 large spoonful of jam
1 spoonful of peanut butter
Optional: 1 spoonful of seeds (I have sesame rn but other good ones are chia, sunflower, etc.)
Optional: a bit of honey or sugar if your prev ingredients arenā€™t that sweet
Optional: extra fruit and berries
^ mix the above and let it sit overnight. I find it lasts about 4 days, I make 3 servings Sunday night and try to eat them by Wednesday, then make more Wednesday night.
When you eat it top with:
A few spoonfuls of granola and nuts of choice
Extra fresh or frozen fruit
Itā€™s fun to add more toppings right before you eat it so they arenā€™t soggy and they get a different texture, but you can always add them with the other stuff
Generally keep the rule of 1 part oats to 2 parts milk/liquid/yogurt. Most recipes online use Ā½ cups instead of ā…“ but I found that was more than I needed.
If you want to customize it, the best way Iā€™ve found is changing up the peanut butter, the second ā…“ cup of milk/yogurt, and the fruit/jam. The absolute best version of the above I made was using ā…“ cup homemade applesauce, extra cinnamon/nutmeg, and cookie butter instead of peanut butter šŸ˜³ it is so good it was like eating a milkshake for breakfast lol
If you make overnight oats PLEASE TELL ME YOUR FAVORITE TOPPINGS AND ADD INS āœØ
